Welcome to the Eagle family! We’re thrilled to have you join our community. Whether your child is enrolling for the first time or transferring from another school, this page will guide you through every step of the registration process.

At Gregg Elementary, we’re committed to making enrollment as easy and stress-free as possible.

Step 1: Register Online with HISD

Start by completing your online registration through the Houston Independent School District (HISD).

  • If you don’t have an account yet, you’ll need to create one.
  • Be sure to select the 2025–2026 academic year when registering.

Step 2: Visit Gregg Elementary to Complete Registration

After registering online, come by our campus to submit additional paperwork and provide the required documents listed below.

Documents You’ll Need to Bring:

Required for All Students:

  • Copy of the student’s birth certificate
  • Copy of the student’s immunization record
  • Copy of the student’s Social Security card (if available)
  • Parent/guardian’s photo ID (driver’s license or government-issued ID)
  • Proof of residency (choose one):
  • A current electric, gas, or water bill showing your address
  • Full lease agreement (if renting) — all leases will be verified with the landlord

Additional Documents (If Applicable):

  • Most recent report card (for students entering grades 1–5)
  • Withdrawal form (if enrolling more than two weeks after school starts)
  • Gifted & Talented identification documents (even if the student did not qualify)
  • Any LEP/ESL/504/IAT/IEP/Special Education documents
  • Custody documentation or certified divorce decree
  • Any evaluations or testing results from previous schools or private providers
